Welcome to the website of Nick Tryon.

I am a forces photographer, currently living on the west coast of Scotland. My passion for photography started whilst serving with the Royal Marines. Over the years this hobby grew in to a thirst for knowledge in to the complexities of photography. The next stage was to transfer to the Royal Naval Photographic Branch, which now enables me to go to the same places as before but with camera in hand.

The majority of my own work is in the Great Outdoors, and my inspirations come from work by Lee Frost, David Ward and Joe Cornish to name only a few.

The work of Sir Simon Marsden always makes me want to take out my Mamiya RZ67 with infared film, its the weather that seems to be against that idea.

You will notice that some images are recorded on film, I see the benefit in both.

I hope you enjoy the images as much as I did creating them.
